Charles River’s marketing department is looking to expand the marketing communications team to assist in the development and execution of our digital communications, including filming, editing, evaluating and managing promotional marketing videos.

This position will support the strategic video initiatives of the businesses and marketing operations. As digital storytelling becomes more of strategic program within marketing and sales, this position will support the digital experience team in the filming, production, and distribution of videos for Charles River.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the internal clients to creatively plan and translate abstract concepts into effective visual form.

  • Film and/or produce videos with a strong emphasis on story telling.

  • Create and deliver compelling videos including original content, interviews, events, demos, social media, and promotions

  • Advise and consult on projects from initial concept stages to ensure any visual effect needs are incorporated during production

  • Perform post production work, such as editing, color grading, and audio adjustment

  • Animate a wide variety of assets to bring life to our videos while providing clean, clear, and concise context on the solutions we provide

  • Assist in catalog and organizing video library

  • Explore emerging ways to visualize data and incorporate data visualization techniques into our videos

  • Work with Digital Experience Manager to constantly improve our production process

Qualifications and Desired Skills:

  • 2+ years video production experience.

  • Operate and maintain a variety of digital video cameras and audio equipment.

  • Ability to quickly find relevant b-roll and music without copyright restrictions

  • Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong lighting and cinematography skills, as well as an eye for detail and art direction

  • Strong people skills with an ability to give direction and work as part of a team.

  • Organized and efficient, with close attention to details while handling multiple tasks

  • Good communication skills with the ability to take direction and explain design thinking

Position reports to the Digital Experience Manager and interfaces regularly with other marketing team members.
