CACI International Technical Writer / Editor in Washington, District Of Columbia
CACI International is seeking an experienced Technical Writer / Editor to support our US Navy NAVSEA Program.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Responsible for producing, proof-reading, editing, and formatting technical documentation to include briefing materials, manuals, procedures, plans, and official Dept of Navy documents.
Edits and formats information for consumption through various media channels to include printed materials, email, websites, and other electronic access points.
Gathers information, interviews subject matter experts, and conducts other research in order to convey technical material in a concise and effective manner.
The incumbent’s primary function will be to support the NAVSEA SEA 10 program in creating internal and external documentation.
The incumbent will convey written and verbal information related to SEA 10 data, concept analyses, process & process improvements, plans of actions & milestones, etc. in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Independently plans, drafts, edits, and prepares a variety of technical publications, such as Point Papers, Decision Briefs, SOPs, Memos, Directives and Instructions based on research, subject matter expertise input, observation of processes, or Dept of Navy policy.
Coordinates, edits, and finalizes documents through application of editing and writing standards, procedures, formatting, and terminology, assuring conformance to DoD/DON standards and customer expectations.
Explains complex data analyses, business processes, total force concepts and strategic objectives according to audience and end-user needs.
Provides advice and recommendations concerning publication matters for assigned projects based on approved policy, guidance and directives.

Expert level written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to deliver high-quality products that conform to regulation, guidance or policies affecting DoD documentation.
Team player able to work with government and contractor technical and administrative teams.
Advanced level research and analysis capabilities.
Ability to define and explain policies, programs, research findings or requirements in detail or in overall form.
Bachelor’s degree and eight or more years of relevant professional experience
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience working in a DoD environment
Familiarity with human capital design concepts and technologies, information systems, and data management terminologies and business process modeling.
