As part

of the Professional Services practice, the Senior Solution Principal role

is responsible for working jointly with the Oracle NetSuite direct Sales and

Account Management groups of an assigned Vertical to provide scoping,

solutioning and estimation of the Professional Services effort required for new

sales opportunities.

The Senior

Solution Principal is also responsible for presenting and delivery of the

final Statement of Work (SOW) for the Professional Services to implement the

products sold. Although the initial customer requirements are obtained by the

Sales team, the Senior Solution Principal may from time to work with

the Sales team during the initial discovery and demo process to ensure that the

prospect’s requirements are fully understood and included in the implementation



  • Partner with a team ofsales representatives and Solutions Consultants in the specific Verticalto validate in and out of scope requirements and assist with solutioningas necessary

  • Collaborate withPractice Vertical Leads, Practice Directors and Practice Managers todetermine best approach to Professional Service offerings based onprospect and scope

  • Manage and prioritizeProfessional Services opportunities

  • Create Statements ofWork and develop cost estimates for Professional Services efforts

  • Manage and prioritizerequests from both Direct and Account Management teams

  • Maintain ProfessionalServices Engagement Record updates within our internal sales forceautomation system to manage and prioritize Professional Services salesopportunities

  • Develop, deliver andsell high-impact Professional Services Value Proposition

  • Participate in pricingand Statement of Work presentations to prospective customers to presentand discuss contents of an SOW

  • Provide explanations toprospects for questions regarding SOWs and Oracle NetSuite offerings

  • Negotiate with prospectsin regards to inclusions/exclusions in the scope of the SOW and updatepricing accordingly

  • Knowledge transfer tothe Professional Services implementation team

  • May require to assist inthe planning phase of projects

  • Ability to acquire andmaintain an understanding of Oracle NetSuite products in the assignedVertical/industry

  • Assisting clients withmapping their budget & priorities to the scope and deploymentstrategy

PreferredQualifications/Skills include:

  • Eight or more years’ ofrelevant professional experience.

  • Experience working withsales teams, ideally in a services and/or product pre-sales role

  • Experience preparing andpresenting solution value propositions

  • Experience creating SOWand cost estimates

  • Strong negotiationskills

  • Strong customerrelationship acumen and consulting skills

  • Excellent presentationand interpersonal skills

  • Experience successfullydelivering presentations via web conferencing

  • Excellent understandingof common industry standard business practices as related to core ERPprocesses

  • Financial applicationpackage experience, plus a good understanding of accounting principles

  • Experience in full cycleimplementations of CRM, ERP and eCommerce applications desirable

  • NetSuite platformexperience strongly preferred, however competing offerings may beconsidered

  • Demonstrated experiencein translating customer business requirements into workable world classbusiness solutions, either as a software solution or a re-engineeringinitiative

  • Advertising and/or Media and/or Publishing industryvertical solution expertise strongly preferred.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

As a recognized authority and leading contributor within the practice, this senior-level consulting professional has broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs across multiple product/technology families. Works directly with Consulting sales to analyze customer business needs.

Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and complex business solutions utilizing Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Influences customer leadership in acceptance of Oracle solutions and services to facilitate the closing of consulting deals. Contributes to statements of work, work breakdown structures and/or level of effort and staff plans. Presents and demonstrates solutions to customers. Builds and maintains a network and up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge. Responsible for transitioning deal knowledge to implementation team. Leads the domain specific solution design aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated business solutions. Anticipates project risks and suggest risk mitigation to project manager. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products.

8-10 years of relevant experience including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team lead or manager experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Broad product, technology or industry expertise. Ability to craft and articulate strategic solutions. In-depth knowledge of implementation methodologies and best practices. Knowledge of competitive and partner products, technology and solutions. Ability to travel as needed.
