The Video Editor will be responsible for designing and creating graphic material for video content. The Video Editor works intimately with the Producer, Account Manager, Video Editors, and Designers to produce the highest quality video content and uphold the expectation of creative excellence for Studio M. This position requires storytelling through shooting video with high-end camera equipment (RED), and professional knowledge of the latest animation and VFX techniques to meet all creative needs, as well as a willingness to work in a fast paced environment, accurately executing creative to meet tight deadlines.


•Bachelor’s degree with focus in Film/Video Production or related focus •5+ years professional experience creating motion graphicsmixed with live footage in television entertainment and advertising industries, creating branded video communications under fast turnarounds. Solid broadcast credits a must. •Professional video editing capabilities required: Motion Tracking, Keying, Rotoscoping, Compositing, Color Correcting, Animating (2D/3D), Typography, Video Editing •Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Trapcode Suite, Cinema 4D and Element 3D •Expert with all relevant video formats, codecs, and output specs •Strong understanding of current design and animation trends •Content creation: video concepting, shooting video, design and animation of motion graphics with the ability to integrate multiple assets into creative videos


•Knowledge of Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve, Pluraleyes, Digital Anarchy deflicker, Neat Noise reduction, Frame.IO. •High level of finishing skills including graphic design, integration, audio optimization, color correction •Ability to ensure quality control and consistency on final project, supervising color grading and sound mixing •Weave stories out of video footage and make creative decisions regarding the editing of projects based on written scripts or input from Producer and Clients. •Selecting music tracks, photography, stock footage,iconography, graphic elements and integrating all into finished videos for internal and external viewing (MM intranet, MM Sales & Marketing, MM Social Media) •Work in a proactive, creative and professional manner to provide the highest level of service to clients •Coordinate and manage internal video facilities and camera equipment; maintaining video stock, source library, and archives •Experience with RED camera equipment and software is a plus •Design for motion graphics to include color theory, digital effects, typography, iconography, and illustration •Perform complex creative concept development through brainstorming and idea generation. Understand and visually interpret complex business concepts to develop innovative, creative, and results-oriented marketing deliverables. •Maintain job folders, assets and other project-related documentation. •Experience using project management software for project timelines, time tracking and project communication/direction •Demonstrates effective client management skills as well as solid relationship building •Remain focused, motivated, and effective on multiple tasks until completion •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Microsoft Office products for documentation, scheduling, and communication (Word, Excel, Outlook) •Demo reel must demonstrate: storytelling, optimal story pacing, use of typography, digital effects compositing, use of live action and motion graphics •Demonstrate a desire to learn and grow professionally •Add value by using craft to raise overall visual value and quality of products •Occasional travel required
