JOB SUMMARY : The Editor is responsible for the development, production, and post-production of assigned Universal Creative attraction media content and deliverables. Responsible for coordinating the integration of media deliverables for existing attraction updates, as well as attractions in developmental, mock-up and final production phases. Works directly on planning and producing presentation materials required for review and approval of media-related creative development. Provides materials to producers, directors, and associates from IP partners and performs as the assistant film editor when providing creative editorial services. Responsible for archiving and management of digital assets created over the duration of each assigned project.
Provides editorial efforts in the preparation and production of all presentation materials required for management reviews and approvals. Acts as editor and leads the editorial needs for all current media projects and creative presentations. Edits assigned editorial projects through all phases from creating pre-visualizations, recording scratch tracks, laying back audio tracks, creating motion graphics, editing footage together, and creating new editorial sequences.
Facilitates internal media pipelines, schedules, and creative reviews, as well as in-progress media traffic between vendors and Universal Creative. Acts as script master on assigned projects – keeping track of all script updates as well as reformatting existing and new scripts. Provides technical media data to third-party vendors as needed. Responsible for the coordination of supporting media vendors in the production of all media elements including but not limited to film, video, special effects, and motion effects development and production, where applicable.
Supports media archiving efforts, primarily following procedures to archive assigned projects when wrapped, as well as assist in developing master archives for all media elements world-wide.
Supports all phases of media editorial and post-production to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of the highest quality media content for on-site show integration and programming. Tracks on-going media changes based upon on-site programming requirements and reviews. Supports media archiving effort.
Edits assigned editorial projects through all phases from creating pre-visualizations, recording scratch tracks, laying back audio tracks, creating motion graphics, editing footage together, creating new editorial sequences.
Researches new media products, applications, providers and systems as they may apply to UPR.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE: Responsible for the development, production, and post-production of assigned Universal Creative attraction media content and deliverables.
Influences decisions of moderate nature, requiring a high degree of tact and professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS: Working knowledge of asset management software, as well as audio, film and video editing software, systems, and techniques.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Film and Video Production is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 4-7 years’ experience in media development, design and production of multiple media formats including but not limited to all standard film and video formats, in addition to large-screen projection, multiple projection, High-Definition, 3-D; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Assists the Media Manager with contracted vendors in production of media content including writers, artists, directors, and post-production personnel, as well as programmers, where responsibilities are specifically related to the show integration of all media content.
