Each year, the CHG Healthcare content team writes hundreds of articles for its brands (CHG, CompHealth, Weatherby Healthcare, RNnetwork, Global Medical Staffing) about healthcare staffing, culture, leadership and more.
We're looking for a Managing Editor who is passionate about storytelling, answering audience questions, driving traffic, and collaborating with a team of talented marketers and sales people. We want someone with a strong background and proven success in editorial planning and strategy, writing, editing, search optimization, and content promotion.
In addition to technical skills, we’re looking for someone who is organized, driven, creative, forward-thinking and incredibly likable.
How You'll Contribute
Work closely with PR, marketing, creative, web, and sales teams to develop editorial content
Manage editorial calendars for multiple brands
Maintain a heavy load of content writing and production, including blog posts, infographics, leader bylines, video, and more
Serve as a final editor for multiple brands’ content
Understand key marketing messages and initiatives and effectively integrate into content
Ensure content is relevant and engaging to our audiences
Manage a team of freelance writers
Ensure a consistent voice across all brands
What You'll Bring
Strong skills in ideating, writing, and editing long-form content
Ability to interview subject matter experts in person, on camera or over the phone
Expertise and ability to implement and maintain SEO best practices
Fluency and understanding in seeking and interpreting content analytics
Fluency in AP style
Knack for telling stories through words, images, and video
Affinity for building relationships and working in a collaborative environment
Ability to lead and coach others
Ability to handle a heavy writing and editing load
Education & Experience:
7+ years of writing or editing experience. Bachelor’s degree in communication, English, writing, public relations or marketing preferred
Prior people leadership experience preferred
Samples and portfolio that demonstrate content development and marketing campaign successes are required
