ManTech Sr. Desktop Publisher in Herndon, Virginia
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Sr. Desktop Publisher to join our team in Herndon, VA to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.
The Sr. Desktop Publisher completes desktop publishing and production activities primarily in support of Federal proposal responses. The candidate will interact with proposal management, proposal consultants, graphic designers, proposal editors, technical subject matter experts and others to produce proposal templates, documents, and related material, ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements and adherence to ManTech s corporate branding standards. The candidate is required to meet tight turnaround times and work extra hours to meet proposal deadlines as necessary and be willing to work varied shifts if needed.
Primary tasks include:
Review solicitations to ensure full understanding of relevant submission requirements; review amendments and answers to questions, as appropriate
Develop compliant Word templates (.dotx/.dotm) based on solicitation requirements
Perform desktop publishing in MS Word, Excel, Project and Adobe Acrobat to ensure proposal documents are formatted in accordance with solicitation requirements
Integrate and format proposal content from multiple authors or reviewers using tools such as MS Office software and Adobe products to produce hard/soft copy versions for Gold Team and White Glove review
Ensure final versions of graphics are properly inserted into final proposal documents
Work closely with the Proposal Manager, Proposal Coordinator, Graphic Designer(s), and Editor(s) throughout the proposal development process
Maintain ownership, version control, and quality assurance of Proposal Working Files from Gold Team through final production
Complete final formatting of documents for printing or electronic publication and use quality assurance checklists to ensure proposal documents are accurate, complete, meet government specifications, and adhere to ManTech standards for quality, format, and style
Perform print production and prepare files for electronic and/or physical delivery
Publish CDs and flash drives as required by the RFP and test on multiple computers
Minimum 10 years of experience using Microsoft Word
Minimum 10 years of proposal specific desktop publishing using Microsoft Word
Proficiency (expert level) in Microsoft Office—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work quickly, accurately, and efficiently under tight deadlines
Skilled at organization; be proactive and collaborative
Possess an excellent command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; be flexible and agile to meet quick turnarounds and hard deadlines
Ability to multi task and prioritize
- Secret clearance or higher is desired
Requires Bachelor s degree or equivalent and eight to ten years of related (technical writing, editing) experience and supervisory/management experience.
