Engility is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor for its FAA National Airspace System (NAS) Lifecycle Planning (NLP) team. The position requires the successful candidate to assist in the development of products, status reporting, and various briefings and reports related to the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) Research and Engineering. Duties include editing and proofreading professional documents for content, format, flow in conformance with the FAA Plain Language and Government Printing Office guidelines. You will also draft and maintain multiple templates for use by the NLP team and customers, create user guides and style guides, and review multiple forms of documentation prior to delivery to the client.
A Bachelor degree or higher in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Technology Management or related discipline.
Must have a minimum of 6 years related experience editing professional documents for content, format, flow and integrity in conformance with best practices.
Excellent writing and communications skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact positively with multiple customers
Experience using MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Ability to satisfy FAA resume approval and security requirements.
- Prior experience supporting the FAA is a plus.
