Reporting directly to the VP of Business Development, it is the job of the Software Sales Manager to increase software sales opportunities and maximize revenue for the organization. To achieve this, he/she must find potential new Publishing and Media customers and partners, present the messaging and value proposition, and help convert them into customers.

The Software Sales Manager will be responsible for helping grow new enterprise accounts within his/her territory and for nurturing existing customer accounts to identify new business opportunities in an effort to increase revenue within other areas of the organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consistently meet and exceed quarterly quotas for pipeline and revenue

  • Maintain minimum metrics for the role and an appropriate sales pipeline

  • Sell solutions, not just capabilities

  • Maintain and develop current client relationships

  • Understand the changing business and technology needs that our potential clients face

  • Deliver polished business presentations and product demonstrations, conveying business value and return on investment analysis

  • Lead sales presentations and product demonstrations both remotely and in-person

  • Work with channel and technology ecosystem partners to achieve maximum success

  • Analyzes existing and anticipated client needs and promote company services to fill such requirements.

  • Understands prospective client’s culture, product portfolio, competitive position, financial state, investment plan, organization structure and key decision makers.

  • Coordinate with Product Manager and Global Sales department on sales strategies and latest product releases.

Required Experience:

  • U.S. citizenship is required

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 years' proven success in an outbound software and/or technology products and services sales environment, closing Enterprise Accounts with complex sales cycles

  • Experience selling Software and Services to the Publishing and Media Markets

  • Proven track record in acquiring leads and generating revenue

  • The ability to learn complex concepts quickly and communicate those concepts in an easy-to-understand manner

  • A well-rounded, business savvy, professional who understands the document management, enterprise content management, and data management markets.

  • 50% domestic and some international travel required

  • Customer Service - Manage difficult or emotional client situations; Respond promptly to customer needs; Solicit client feedback to improve service; Meet commitments.
