The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Project Coordinator in our National Center office located in Waltham, MA .
Essential Job Duties:
Provide project coordination and administrative assistance to the Science Publishing department.
Coordinates publishing procedures to assist in AHA strategic goal of rapid dissemination of scientific information.
Interact with volunteers and staff to ensure timelines and deadlines are met.
Work with other Office of Science Operations (OSO) and AHA departments to meet deptartment goals.
Understand and implement appropriate AHA systems to ensure integrity of publications.
Working knowledge of budgets with a conscious effort to contribute to budget goals of department.

High School Diploma or GED.
Two (2) or more years of experience in a related administration role.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal/external customers and volunteers. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience and/or knowledge of financial systems (E-1, COI, Seibel, etc.).
Proven ability to effectively prioritize work assignments, manage/monitor multiple projects, and meet multiple deadlines.
Ability to function independently with minimal supervision and be a contributor to the publishing team.
Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to initiate projects and be pro-active; attention to detail; provide follow-through and devise alternative solutions as necessary.
