The Senior Editor reports directly to the Production Manager. Edit on short-forms of both channel-branded and non-branded contents, including mastering and versioning all on-air promotions for Universal Networks International channels for SEA. Also edit localise long-form contents on SEA channels.



o Edit, prep content for audio post, versioning, multi-languages subtitling and mastering of all promos for on-air and SVOD platforms.

o Work with producers in delivering promos in the monthly makelist and upload them to NBCU designated broadcast facility.

o Create short clips for social media and for NBCU digital websites.

o Create submasters of all the promos for archiving.

• Non-Branded content creation:

o Research for music, craft edits for the content from the script provided by the producer.

o Work closely with the producer on the cuts and branding required. Prep content for audio post and mastering. Basic colour correction where required.

o Deliver the finished content according to the clients’ specifications.

o Create submasters for archiving.

• Long-form content creation:

o Research for music, craft edits for the content from the script provided by the producer.

o Ensure the minimum/maximum program duration are met for half-hour or one-hour block.

o Work closely with the relevant stakeholders on approvals and picture-lock the edit.

o Prep content for audio post, mastering and basic colour correction where required.

• Post Production Processes and Workflows:

o Support and uphold the post production data management and workflows that has been setup

o Ensure filenames, TX IDs and all ancillary deliverables are followed through.

o Suggests workflows improvement where required.


• Proven experience as an editor in a broadcast or post facility environment.

• High level working knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro. Working knowledge on older ver of Final Cut Pro and functional knowledge on Adobe After Effects.

• Fully conversant on file based workflows

• A good working knowledge of the promo production workflow

• Highly organised & good in providing solutions.

• Proactive approach, a self-starter.

• Good communication and people skills

• Good broadcast technical knowledge

• Accuracy with great attention to detail

• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

• Colour grading skills are desirable.
