Job DescriptionKindle Direct Publishing is seeking a dynamic, highly creative PR manager to join our Seattle-based team. Kindle Direct Publishing works to enable anybody with access to the internet to easily and instantly publish their work in any language or format, and earn more for it than through any other channel. The right candidate will be passionate about books and technology. They will have strong media relationships, experience developing and executing highly successful media campaigns and excellent communication and presentation skills. In this role, the successful candidate will lead creative PR campaigns to promote innovations in self-publishing, and collaborate with the KDP PR lead on other media opportunities and large-scale projects. This person will play a concrete part in supporting the growth of our publishing business. Core job responsibilities: * Act as PR business partner to the KDP leadership team * Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams in order to drive successful launches * Proactively secure positive coverage for KDP * Write press releases and other publicity materials * Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant media * Help manage external PR firms as necessary Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree 8+ years of experience strategizing and executing highly successful product launches.
