Job Title: Producer - Publishing

Capcom USA is in need of a publishing producer with a strong passion and track record for shipping amazing video games to players. We have a number of great projects being developed at Capcom Vancouver and Capcom USA. This product-focused producer will be responsible for bringing development teams and publishing groups together across disciplines through strong communication, documentation, and process management. Delivering these games requires someone who has a passion for the process of game publishing, and who can apply that passion to make our games great!
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Contribute during all stages of publishing to support all phases of production
Provide a solid communication pipeline between various development and publishing groups
Responsible for tracking P&L as well as schedule for assigned projects
Implement, document and execute publishing processes for Capcom Vancouver developed and Capcom USA developed titles
Keep executive stakeholders apprised of production status including project quality, schedule and budget risks
Build internal support and buy-in for upcoming titles within our US and Japanese offices
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to provide actionable feedback on product at all stages of development that improves final product quality
Strong project management skills with the ability to self-manage time and deadlines
Strong written and verbal communicator with the ability to share information clearly and simply with all partners at all levels inside and outside the organization
Skilled at creating documentation around development process and project status
Deep knowledge of the console and mobile games market with the ability to apply that knowledge to title performance analysis
Previous experience working with a Japanese publisher an asset
A proven track record of creating, developing and shipping top quality console or PC entertainment software. Proven ability to produce AAA-titles.
Familiarity with current development methodologies (agile, SCRUM, waterfall, etc.)
Comfortable working with various issue tracking and project management tools (JIRA, Hansoft, etc.)
Excellent management skills and the ability to create and implement production processes
Experience in managing both internal and external development teams
Experience with a wide variety of game categories on both consoles and the PC highly desirable
Experience in working with Japanese development studios or working in a Japanese video game company a plus
Minimum 5+ years game industry experience in production roles of which 2+ has been in a Producer or Project Manager role
Has shipped at least 5 products on last or current gen consoles, PC or mobile in a production role
Passport holder able to travel internationally
Must have passion for creating compelling video game experiences for game consumers
Familiarity with Capcom IP
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Licenses, Certificates and Other
This position occasionally requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force to move objects. Other physical demands may include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, running, sitting, lifting, typing, grasping, talking, yelling, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Position will require travel to various industry events, developers, and partners.
