Are you self-motivated and detail oriented? Join our Documentation Team and be responsible for ensuring our writers observe all recognized conventions. You will work with copy for a variety of uses, including help systems, web pages, and educational materials, by proofreading, making content recommendations, and providing overall quality assurance.
Proofread content of various projects prior to printing and production
Edit web pages that contain user assistance documentation
Validate detailed technical information and applicable acronyms
Ensure accuracy in spelling, grammar, and punctuation as well as smoothly composed syntax
Validate that content follows established guidelines, company standards, and prescribed format
Suggest reorganizing, recommend changes, and offer constructive critiques
Track changes effectively and maintain accurate versioning records
Create and manage the internal authoring style guide
Prior experience copy editing projects with varying degrees of complexity, size, and type
Understanding of basic design styles and layout standards
Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
Extremely detail oriented and have excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills
Possess a strong command of the English language
Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate status to peers and leadership
Bachelor's in English, journalism, or related field
3+ years of copy editing experience with background in proofreading
Knowledge of HTML, XML, DITA, and GitHub content
