We are seeking a Digital Editor to work in our Philadelphia office.

The Digital Editor performs editorial and administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations of NursingCenter and related web sites and digital products, including mobile versions and apps. The position publishes digital content, provides administrative support to the business, and interacts directly with customers to provide product support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Work closely with Clinical Editors and other colleagues to create and publish editorial content to the NursingCenter and CEConnection websites.

•Support the marketing team in developing and implementing promotional material in support of product content.

•Copyedit various communications, including email, web pages, social media sites, promotional materials, and other content as assigned.

•Contribute to website planning and design.

•Become proficient at using the NursingCenter and CEConnection content management systems.

•Communicate directly with customers to provide second-tier (advanced level) customer support – triage from customer service.

•Provide backup administrative support to Publisher and administrative assistant as needed.

•Manage email lists and production of monthly e-newsletters as well as other email campaigns to drive traffic.

•Maintain and regularly post to social media pages/feeds, such as Facebook, Twitter, and blogs several times weekly, at minimum.

•Work with Publisher and others in developing and maintaining SEO/SEM strategies.

Qualifications: Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required, preferably in journalism, communications, or English.

•Demonstrates high standard of editorial judgment and writing ability preferably gained in an online media or journalism environment.

•Experience and skills in web design and production, video capture & production, podcast capture & production, management of social media channels, social media publishing platforms, and social media monitoring systems.

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

•Excellent ability to track and manage projects; effective time and resource utilization

•Familiarity with digital product development processes and practices

•General computer literacy and specific demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office software—Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project

•Flexible team player able to handle fast pace and multiple assignments

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers

•Effective people skills: flexibility, diplomacy, and cooperative attitude
