JOB PURPOSE: The Associate Sponsoring Editor works collaboratively with the Managing Editor, Director, and Portfolio Manager, on assigned programs and projects through planning portfolio programs and budgets. With the emphasis on driving digital growth across the portfolio, the Associate Sponsoring Editor assists internal and external partners on the implementation and execution of the program plan, identifying and articulating program needs and ensuring that the program and product goals are meeting market expectations. The Associate Sponsoring Editor assists with providing insight into market dynamics, including the competitive landscape and product comparisons. The Associate Sponsoring Editor works with portfolio management to provide assistance with sales inquiries and solutions related to our digital solutions across product lines.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degreeMinimum of 2-3 years job experience, preferably with aspects of sales, editorial,and/or production experienceProject management experience preferredDigital product management experience preferredAbility to collaborate with key stakeholders and lead teams with a high degree offunctional diversityProficiency with PC & MAC, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, ExcelAbility to set goals, handle budgets, build effective agendas and lead successful and efficient meetings

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

Trained and supported by the Managing Editor to develop and manage budgets andwork collaboratively with portfolio management on digital growth of portfolios.

Takes initiative and responsibility for program tasks to support program team(s) to meet completion timeliness.

Works collaboratively with the Program Manager, Managing Editor, and assignedprogram teams to implement required product changes and meet contentdevelopment needs efficiently.

Communicates effectively and efficiently with internal and external (i.e., vendors,authors, customers) stakeholders.

Clarifies requests from stakeholders ensuring clear understanding of needs.

Manages time and priorities effectively including, but not limited to: meetings, internalwork assignments provided by the Director, Portfolio Manager, and Managing Editor.

Maintains responsibility for budget projections and alerts Program Manager ofanticipated overages.

Identifies risks to budget, alerting and working with the Program Manager andManaging Editor to develop a plan of action.

Reports directly to Managing Editor.
