You'll join the team as we embark on the next phase of this exciting project, with a strong emphasis on interactive HTML5 media, analytics and multi-channel content distribution. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Job Summary & Responsibilities

  • As a Development Manager, you will be responsible for running the London based team that is building a new authoring and publishing platform for research analysts.

  • You will focus on the build of a platform composed of a vendor solution with custom plugins and a large number of functional services that provide the platform with domain data, business specific legal/compliance functions and coordinated workflows facilitating collaboration across functional areas of the department.

  • You will work with the GIR business to define requirements for new features, collaborate with the technical leads and development team on an implementation plan for those features and see that the team delivers them into production.

  • A forward looking vision of where the publishing platform should go to produce engaging digital research products will be a key factor in your impact.

Basic Qualifications

  • A commercial mind-set; the ability to propose solutions weighing cost/benefit

  • 7+ years? relevant commercial experience

  • Development experience with Java

  • Experience working in a global team

  • A strong analytical and problem solving mind-set

  • Willingness to collaborate with technical leads, development managers and the NY based team

  • Willingness to collaborate across functional areas with the other development managers in the department

  • Willingness to collaborate with our business partners to understand and implement their requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a developer or project manager of a publishing or CMS platform

  • Full-stack development experience e.g. RESTful service layer with front-end client side framework e.g. AngularJS, REACT

  • Experience with workflow (BPMN)

  • Use of an object-oriented language and a familiarity of design patterns

  • Agile methodologies
