Job Description

Digital Transition is looking for digital journalists at https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/jobs/nyt-job-digital-transitions-team.html to guide reporters and editors in learning new skills, thinking visually and adopting new story forms.

This person will work closely with editors and reporters to create social plans, package stories and critique work once it’s published. This role requires someone with strong digital skills and a background in visuals, social media or other forms of digital storytelling. You’ll embed with desks to coach and support reporters and editors as they’re working on their stories, providing guidance on story format, audience, visuals, social plan, UGC and promotion. This work will be hands-on and in person.
