About the Role

We are looking for a Portfolio Editor to join our team of experienced editors, who work collaboratively together to help provide our customers with the most up to date and best in class legal publications.

As a Portfolio Editor you will be responsible for coordinating production and product delivery for a portfolio of product titles in the Research team and generally support the profile of your portfolio products.

This will see you be the key Thomson Reuters point of contact between external editors and contributors, internal stakeholder teams, and our editorial vendors, for a designated portfolio of Legal products. You will partner with editorial vendors and coordinate the delivery of timely, relevant and accurate content to customers and monitor output of external vendors and editors and perform quality assurance steps.

To be successful in the role you will be an experienced Editor who is customer focused, has a strong eye of detail, enjoys working collaboratively within a team environment and has the commercial acumen to support product development. You will have editorial experience, ideally, gained in a legal publishing environment. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Degree qualified highly regarded
  • Publishing experience highly regarded
  • Experience with and understanding of Thomson Reuters’ editing processes highly regarded
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent awareness of correct grammar and spelling
  • Attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and respond positively to change
  • Legal research skills highly regarded (both hard copy and online)
  • XML skills preferred
