Outstanding and immediate need for a Managing Editor!

What You Will Be Doing

  • Oversee and coordinate print and web projects across various departments including editorial, design, audio/video and copyediting.

  • Manage a team of copyeditors and designers.

  • Answers to the executive team on all issues related to program execution.

  • Must develop standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing.

What You Need for this Position

Must have a 4-year college degree preferably communications or other related focus.

7+ years of experience managing multiple media production: Print, audio/video, online, social media platforms.

Must have 4+ years of experience hiring, supervising, and developing staff.

High level of proficient computer skills: InDesign, Adobe Acrobat and HTML.

Eligible candidates will need to pass a high-level copyediting test.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may occasionally include nights and weekends during tight deadlines.

Strong organizational skills with effective attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively, flexibility to adjust to various situations while also being able to multi-task.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
