Description

We are looking for an ELT Editor.

The person will be responsible for carrying out and coordinate editorial tasks onELT print and digital components and to maintain schedules in liaison withProduction and Design colleagues, under the supervision of the Publisher.

Core tasks and responsibilities

Leadand manage the content creation for a component

Maintainschedules for assigned projects, liaising closely with Production and Design

Liaisewith external editorial freelancers as necessary

Copyedit and proofread print and digital components

Key relationships

Excellent interpersonal skills andexperience of working as part of a team

Reports toPublisher and works alongside Design and Product Coordination to ensure schedules are met and quality andusability of product is maintained

Works with external suppliers to ensureall requirements and deadlines are met

Collaborates with peers and colleagues on assigned tasksas required by Publisher

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in linguistics, foreign language, or related field or qualification in teaching English as a second/foreign language (Certificate or Diploma in TEFL or TESOL)

  • Publishing/Editorial and teaching experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish, at least to C1 level.

Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines, remaining pragmatic and results-focused

Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team

Good knowledge of MS Office

Desirable

Experience of teaching English to Spanish learners would be a distinctadvantage
