Kforce has a client that is seeking a Copy Editor in Los Angeles, California (CA).Summary:Production Operations is a division of Programming and Production and consists of several groups: Network Control, PCR, Studio, Content Edit, Business Resources, and Operations Specialists. Production Operations staffs the operational positions (camera, editing, master control, technical directing, etc.) that support domestic and international studio and event programming and network operations. The individual is expected to be a leader, mentor and collaborator among various teams while operating at an advanced level. The work schedule is Sundays 12pm to 11pm/Monday through Friday as early as 7am as late as 7pm.

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 4 years editing for a TV production or newsroom in a large market or network level

  • The candidate is an experienced, knowledgeable and well-versed non-linear editor with a honed craft of video editing, writing and producing in a fast-paced Sports Broadcast atmosphere

  • Proficiency in all TV Production equipment and technology within assigned operating areas, including: non-linear edit systems, broadcast routers, media management process and applications

  • Candidates must have strong computer background (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and solid communication skills

  • Knowledgeable in Quantel, Final Cut Pro, Avid, Adobe, Premiere, After Effects, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ENPS

  • The ability to both work independently and collaborate between departments on key show elements is a must

  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks under tight deadlines, work independently and manage simultaneous projects

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Flexibility to alter shifts/days off to accommodate projects and departmental objectives

  • Understanding of Production workflows, proven writing and producing skills, and demonstrated ability to deliver on established themes and styles as required

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom that requires quick turnaround edits with an emphasis on independently creating, writing and producing key show elements

  • Candidate preferred but not required to be fluent Bilingual (English/Spanish); communication skills (speaking, reading and writing)

  • Demonstrates leadership and advanced operating skills which may include: high profile non-linear video editing
