KBRwyle is seeking a Senior Technical Editor to support PMA-262, PMA-263, and PMA-266 by providing the technical expertise required for writing, editing and updating the NATOPS and NATIP manuals for UAS Platforms including MQ-8, RQ-21, MQ-4, and others. The candidate will generate, track and revise both new and existing documentation and will establish and maintain a document management process. This position will cover all information provided to the aircrew in the performance of their duties to include cockpit displays and system functionality. The successful candidate will interface with Air Vehicle Operators, Product Leads, Mission Payload Operators, and systems engineers to develop and refine operating procedures and ensure correct technical content of system descriptions.
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required. In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma and four (4) additional years of experience may be substituted.
Experience: A minimum of ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of writing experience to include a minimum of five (5) years of experience writing technical papers, reports and/or publications in support of a government program office is required. Candidate should have experience in technical editing and Arbortext and a familiarity with Interleaf/Quicksilver publishing software and configuration management techniques. Demonstrated experience in DoD or NAVAIR engineering program support is desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The candidate must have the ability to create, assimilate and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner. Demonstrated capability in document generation and configuration management, including tracking, revising both new, and existing publications is required. The successful candidate must be well organized, have excellent written and oral communication skills, effectively prioritize tasking, be able to manage time effectively with limited instruction, be dependable and interact with a wide variety of technicians and engineers. Applicant should have a knowledge of the 4.0P NATOPS and NATIP processes.
