Note this is a Privacy Attorney position. Attorneys without privacy experience should not be submitted.

We are seeking a Privacy Counsel, Global Technology & Sourcing, whose primary responsibility will be to support the Technology and Sourcing organizations with the drafting, review and negotiation of the privacy aspects, particularly related to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, of complex, global commercial agreements with third party suppliers, including software licensing, hardware, IT/consulting services, telecommunications and outsourcing.

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Draft, review and negotiate privacy terms, particularly related to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, for complex, global commercial agreements, including software licenses, software as a service (SaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), professional services, statements of work, and other services agreements

• Customize pre-defined templates based on unique needs of each supplier agreement

• Drive project management of large scale initiative to make supplier agreements GDPR-compliant

Education/Bar Admissions:

• JD with 3-5 years of relevant experience (law firm or in-house)

• Active, good standing state bar admission

• Relevant qualifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/EU, CIPM certifications preferred

Required Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of global privacy law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation

• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills

• Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

• Proactive approach, with the ability to think strategically and creatively in identifying and resolving legal issues
