According to the 2017 Building Design + Construction magazine "Giants" ranking, SmithGroupJJR is the 7th largest architecture/engineering firm in the U.S.SmithGroupJJR is currently looking for a Digital Content Strategist/Editor to join our corporate communications team. This person will play a lead role in developing and managing digital content for SmithGroupJJR's external and internal corporate channels, including websites and social media platforms. The duties of the position include management of overall site strategy and governance. Ideally, the Digital Content Strategist/Editor has experience in digital storytelling to create rich and engaging content that advances corporate communications objectives in support of key business initiatives.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:•Coordinate all steps of the content development process from ideation to development to distribution for the firm's corporate external and internal digital channels, including social media.•Collaborate with key stakeholders to generate new content or curate existing content for the firm's corporate channels, including articles, photos, videos, infographics, social media posts, etc.•Lead digital content projects of varying size and complexity. Manage multiple, competing projects simultaneously.•Work closely with business partners (practices, offices, etc.) to develop and publish content, support key campaigns/initiatives and ensure that corporate digital communications content is meeting the needs and business objectives of the firm.•Organize and facilitate digital content planning sessions with cross-functional groups from across the firm.•Develop and execute digital content project plans, including establishing schedules and defining project scope.•Manage content review and approval process and ensure content accuracy.•Ensure proper brand alignment and positioning, as well as tone and style consistency, across all digital channels.•Regularly monitor and measure content performance. Develop insights and make recommendations to enhance content performance.•Work closely with marketing analyst on reporting and metrics for all digital channels.•Identify and execute on SEO best practices, including technical and content improvements, to drive organic traffic.•Perform audits and maintains quality control of websites.•Manage daily maintenance of corporate websites.•Responsible for maintaining a positive and highly functional user experience (UX) on all digital channels.•Stay current on digital storytelling best practices and emerging trends and share knowledge with key stakeholders.An ideal candidate has:•5+ years experience in digital multimedia marketing and/or communications•Experience in the A/E/C industry or professional services marketing desirable•Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field preferred•Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint•Knowledge of various social media platforms - Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube•Deep understanding of digital metrics tools and best practices for measurement of effectiveness•Experience using Drupal or similar content management system•
