The Higher Education Courseware team, in partnership withinstructors and universities worldwide, provides learners with the skills,competencies and behaviors required to succeed in college and their subsequentcareers. This team is responsible for developing and delivering learningcontent in new and innovative digital formats, creating cutting-edge learningapplications that collect data and use predictive capabilities to providepersonalized learning and improve learner outcomes.

The Portfolio Manager will acquire and manage thedevelopment of text and digital content for the Early Childhood, Foundations ofEducation, Educational Leadership, and Speech Pathology product portfolios.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Accountable forthe acquisition and development of high-quality discipline-specific content.

  • Accountable forcreating a continuous content improvement capability based on customerfeedback, usage patterns, and other data.

  • Responsible forensuring content is fit for purpose (curriculum and pedagogy) and conductingcontent quality assurance.

  • Responsible forensuring author and SME content is created according to Pearson'saccessibility, efficacy, and data tagging standards.

  • Responsible forcreating discipline specific learning tools that will meet customer needs.

  • Travel asneeded for focus groups, conferences, events, and campus visits to developmarket insights and test the market viability of products.



Essential Education, Experience and Skills

  • Undergraduatedegree.

  • At least 3-5years of relevant sales, product development, and/or teaching and writingexperience in Higher Education settings.

  • Instructionaldesign experience desirable.

  • Excellentwritten and oral communication skills.

  • Detailoriented and exceptionally well-organized.

  • Imaginativeand intellectually curious with a passion for helping others learn.

  • Creativeproblem solver who can work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment.

  • Excellentcomputer skills.
