LinkedIn News Editor (India) in Bangalore, India
News Editor (India)
LinkedIn is looking for a News Editor a.k.a. news junkie to help define the future of how Indian professionals consume news and voice their opinion. You will play a key role in helping our 42 million Indian members harness the insights they need to excel at what they do.
As News Editor, you will create, curate and cultivate the business conversations that dominate the Indian landscape
The ideal candidate will have a passion to tell compelling stories and always know what’s trending. As part of a global editorial team represented in New York, San Francisco, London, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong, Paris, Munich, and Bengaluru, you'll jump on making news breaks more valuable to members.
You’re a stickler for clean writing, have basic camera etiquette and constantly think of ways to improve any copy. You are great at multitasking and time management and thrive in an environment where no two days can be the same. Healthcare and Finance are your strongholds but you can dive into other verticals with equal gumption. You have excellent news judgement and are intimately familiar with the Indian business news agenda. You are confident interviewing top CXOs and holding a conversation even while the spotlight is on. You've probably worked in a bustling newsroom — preferably business-oriented — and absolutely love being in the thick of things. You’re as interested in shaping a product as shaping a story.
Your posts and videos will reach the largest collective of professionals ever assembled - on and off LinkedIn; your daily news package will compete with the world’s leading news outlets; and the contributors you cultivate - from CEOs to those just getting started -- will reach an audience hungry for their insights.
You’ll get to work with and learn from a dynamic team of innovative journalists and product people around the world. You’ll take initiative and run your own projects from idea to completion, and have the opportunity to transform your career in a fun environment that supports excellence, autonomy and entrepreneurialism.
