The Digital Publishing Coordinator is primarily responsible for the project management, performance, and completion of digital publishing projects, including overseeing the publication of journal issues, books, and digital projects. They will be responsible for preparing and producing scholarly content for publication online and in print. The Coordinator will need to be a good team player with demonstrated time- and project-management skills and be able to solve many common problems independently, and is committed to improving efficiency and responsiveness both within and outside the department. This position reports to the Director of Publishing Services. h3Responsibilities*/h3 li Work with vendors and publishing partners to define, approve, and manage complex publication workflows and schedules to ensure timely completion of multiple projects. /li li Review manuscripts for completeness and potential issues prior to production. /li li Supervise and maintain schedules of student workers engaged in publishing projects. /li li Create and maintain internal project documentation and records. /li li Coordinate tasks with other team members, delegating simpler tasks when appropriate. /li li Convert and prepare materials for online publication. /li li Proofread for obvious structural, grammatical, or stylistic errors. /li li Write promotional messages announcing new and updated publications. /li li Plan and participate in educational workshops and other outreach activities, including occasional conference presentations. /li li Contribute to library-wide initiatives as a member of relevant task forces and committees. /li li Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Publishing Services. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications*/h3 li Experience managing projects, prioritizing among multiple projects, and meeting deadlines. /li li Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a professionally diverse environment. /li li Ability to work independently and make timely decisions. /li li Strong computer literacy skills in desktop word processing and database applications. /li li Ability to organize workflow; both write and follow documentation. /li li Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills. /li li Understands and values d
